If the OP is seriously considering the A/C truck generator combo, I would get a soft start installed on the A/C and find a truck to plug it into.





Long overdue update as the OP. Truck arrived late Oct 22, after 10 month wait. So before it arrived I installed the soft start into the 13.5 AC. I did test it under cooler conditions with the on board 2kw. It started and I ran it for an hour with no noticeable issues. The only other thing running in the trl was the converter, lpg fridge and a couple of lights. I did not use any high draw appliance at the same time.
So I guess in a pinch if I wanted to use it I at least know I can cool off if needed.
