Thanks.

Bill J., Lexington, KY
I have a waterproof cover made for the generator and sold by Champion. I use it to cover the unit while in transit.

I salvaged some old canopy poles, shortened, and they hold a small tarp over it lean-to style. Right now bungee's hold it all in place but when I get back from this trip I'll Fab some pole sockets and fasten them to the platform. Poles will fit in place with tarp and generator will remain dry.

I've seen boxes with hinged sides that swing up on air intake end and exhaust end while running. Held down while in transit with suitcase hinges. Front only needs to be opened to plug in cord and start stop. A hatch on top to fill with fuel.

Limited only by imagination and skill.

Brother in Law attached a diamond plate pick up bed storage box, the kind you see in the bed up to the cab, to the back of his Jayco. He used steel supports bolted to the two frame rails of the TT and support the box on the steel rails. He than through bolted the bottom of the diamond box adding wood block, 2x4's maybe, from the inside. Alot of room to securely carry his genset and gas cans. When doesn't need to bring them along it makes for a great storage box which occasionally he'll fill with firewood. Looks real sharp on the back of his rig. If it wasn't in storage I'd try to get a pic of his set up.

I cant take credit I bought it like that. It actually holds the fuel tank for our generator. It has frame supports and holds 26 gallons for gas. We can run that thing forever on a full tank.

I've always tried to keep my generator (Honda 2000i) dry - is that not an issue?

Front Gen Stand

Bought this stand for my Campion 3000 and then got a seasonal campsite. Go figure. I can strap it down and I have the cover for it when traveling.
