2011 Coachmen Apex 17fb Entry Door Window

I've got a 2011 Coachmen Apex 17fb trailer that has a windowless door that I'm looking at adding a window to. This trailer came with either the Amerimax (no window) door or the Lippert (with window) door. I see that Lippert has a Thin Shade Complete Window Kit for Entry Doors, sku:806621 that I was looking at ordering. The door needs to be 1 1/2" thk in order to be able to install this window kit and was meant specifically for a Lippert door. I'm assuming that the door I have is the Amerimax so I'm not sure of the thickness but hopefully it will fit.

Have any others tried to do a window install and did they have any issues while doing it..?
