2018 Apex 249RBS
Picking up my new Apex this week. Any pros/cons or concerns with this model. I am having the dealer change connection for TV in order to use satellite. I emailed Coachman asking if trailer would receive satellite signal . The sales person didn't seem very convincing when I ask so went to Manufacturer. Seems like it's an easy fix. So any other things I need to be aware of. Thanks

I don't know of anything to be aware of other than do a very detailed PDI and don't allow yourself to be rushed.

Not sure what PDI means? But we have looked over everything carefully, having traded in an 11 year old toy hauler, there's a lot of good things on this one. Don't like the fresh water drain location but think that's an easy fix. Any thing else we should be aware of?

Pre delivery inspection (PDI), what you do prior to giving them the final payment to ensure you are getting what you want in the condition it should be.

Did you get your trailer? We are looking at that model for our first trailer.

I would like to know as well. I have the "big brother" to this, the 269RBKS and we really like it in spite of a couple of minor warranty issues.

Welcome to the forum from Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Congrats on your new rig.
Campout in your driveway for a night. You will want to use all the systems. You will be surprised how many times you go inside your home for things you need to camp.

X2 on the thorough PDI. We took delivery on our249RBS June 1. We did not find any serious issues when doing our PDI. We did find a loose screw stuck to the roof and a couple screws not completely covered with sealant. The foam molding around one door was not installed properly. We are having a hard time getting both of our exterior doors to latch without slamming them. The dealer tried to make an adjustment but still not quite right. I think the door catch needs to be adjusted but it cannot be adjusted out any further. Just bad alignment. We are very happy with our unit though. We love the floor plan and the outside access to the bathroom. We just completed our first four night trip with ours last week. I hope you will enjoy your unit.

We are also having issues with latching and locking doors, especially the back door. We adjusted the back stabilizers and they work fine now, but thinking of moving those back stabilizers a little forward to eliminate the problem. On the driveway without stabilizers down it was fine, so think this would help

Mine are hard to open and close whether stabilizing jacks are used or not. Do you mean you think the jacks were causing your door problem?

It solved the problem when we let the one down on that side of the camper in the back by the door. Thought maybe just had it in sort of a bind because sitting in the driveway w/o stabilizers down it was fine. You still have to slam them hard tho. But the back door wouldn't even lock until we adjusted.

Just camped 1st time this weekend and no major problems. Couple minor things, shelf in bath room vanity came loose and panel under kitchen sink was loose. The only "major " issue was we noticed this morning a drip behind toilet. Think it's just a loose and should be an easy fix. It was 100+ degree weekend and AC kept up easily. So all in all we love our new camper

Meant to say loose fitting behind toilet.
