2018 Chaparral 392MBL cable issues

I'm having issues with the coax cable that is routed in my new fifth wheel as I'm not getting reception from some of the cable jack points. The cables all come together at one spot on the inside of the storage area by the water hookups and drain valves. I did a continuity check on the 6 coax connectors and I found that 3 of the 6 were bad. Two of them were shorting out and the other one tested open with no destination point. As luck would have it one of the shorted out cable jacks is for the living room tv. I crawled under the trailer and found it to be almost impossible to track down where it could be shorted so I'm looking for suggestions on an easy fix. My first thought is to just mount an outdoor jack on the side wall and run a coax cable from it directly to the tv in the living room. Not the most desirable option but it would probably work, attached is a picture of the coax cable junction box.

i can’t help with the answer but I have a 2017 371mb and experiencing cable issues as well. I need to get something to check the cable. Wouldn’t this fall under warranty if there were issues?

I have a 2017 MBL392 that I had at the dealer for the same issues. Short story is that they told me there was no wiring diagram available from Coachman and basically they could not help me with figuring it out. Other than that issue, they have been extremely helpful with other issues.
I have a Direct tv guy coming out tomorrow and am basically going to pose the issue to him. Im sure he has the equip to test the lines so I'll know what exactly is going on. I'll keep you posted!

Sounds like whoever stripped the cables to install the ends got some of the shieldwire around the center conductor.
Or, there is a bad splitter.

When I bought it new the salesman warned me that I might have issues with the cable as this seems to be a common problem. You are correct that this should fall under the warranty so I plan on calling them to see what they say.

Thanks PigPen I'm interested in what the Direct TV guy has to say about it.

X2. Barring a screw shot through a cable this is the likely culprit. You can get replacement ends at Walmart or Best buy if necessary.

A quick visual inspection of the cable ends will show the sloppy shield wire touching the main conductor

So a Direct TV tech just left...he checked the wires for me with his "tester" and nothing went to where it was labeled. Can't be of much more help than that, but someone with cable install experience and the right tester is probably what is needed for you guys.
