2019 Apex Nano Slide Leak

I have a 2019 Apex Nano 208BHS.

The slide appears to be leaking only when closed. Under the dinette towards the rear of the slide was considerably wet. There does NOT appear to be the same issue when its closed. When parked, the slide in on the south side, which is typically not the "weather" side of my property.

All the seals and gaskets look great and there is nothing out of the ordinary when it's closed or closing. I shined a high powered flashlight around when closed and open trying to see if I could see something and nothing. Roof of the slide and TT all are solid and all of the caulk looks great.

I am going to have my wife spray a hose on it and look from the inside to see if I can see something, but wondering if anyone had anything similar happen that it could be something dumb.

One thing I read in our manual was to keep the "close" button depressed until the slide stops itself - ie, don't release the button when you think it's closed enough.

We’re you able to figure out where the water was coming in? I just found the same issue when my wife noticed the rug and wood for the dinette was damp

I have read somewhere on a review of the earlier models of the APEX Nano
that the water is actucally coming from the wheel well when slide is closed and driving in the rain. The cure was to now have wheel well liners installed on the newer models.
I have been looking at the Apex Nanos for about a month now and on the 2021 models there is a metal wheel well liner installed. This dealer had a used 2019 Apex of the same model I have been looking at and it has no wheel well liner and I can see that could be a issue.
Long story short, I asked dealer about this and they had no issues from previous buyers, so they say. Anyway, I bit the bullit and bought the Apex Nano 191RBS and picked it up yesterday. This is an issue I well be watching closely. Good Luck with the leak.

Check the snap in strip around perimeter of slide..it looks exactly like the screw cover strip on a house storm door..the bottom strip allows water behind it into your camper..I caulked everything and even bought slide topper..but still leaked..I shot a hose at lower strip and it leaked like usual..I taped off half inch above and below strip and flex sealed it..no leak since..I also did side strips too..

I have a real bad leak in the slide on my 2017 Catalina. After leaving it in the shop for service the problem was still there. I ended up finding that some of the screws holding the trim and flashing on had been put in too tight and were broken off just under their heads. They looked fine but were leaking around the heads. I replaced and resealed all the screws and caulked the flashing and trim which took care of the problem.
