320 BHDS--How are yours holding up?

I just got a new 2014 BHDS. It was an upgrade to our 2012 310 BHDS, which served us well and we had no real issues with, but the island kitchen made wife happy. I immediately noticed the new model seems to have a more upscale feel....whether the materials and parts are actually better or just seem that way because they are new is what I'm getting at....How are yours holding up?

Couple of minor issues with my 14, broken plastic bow under the rear slide that holds the wiring and a noisy fridge fan.

On my 2nd outing now....fridge fan is a bit louder than it should be. Had a leak at the island faucet connection last night. My fault for not tightening the new faucet enough. Guess the CG water pressure is pretty high as it didn't leak til after we went to bed 😫. Now I'm trying to dry up the wet carpet at the dinette slide.

My kitchen faucet did the same thing hooked up to the camp ground connection. My 12v converted is also very noisy when turning on the lights. I finally purchased led bulbs, now it is mute.

We have had our 2014 bhds since April of 13' and knock on wood have not had anything brake or inoperative. We camped 13 weekends before putting in indoor storage for the winter. We had the same leak at kitchen faucet hookups as we'll. caught it first trip out and tightened them up and have not had any issues since. The island is what sold my wife as well and with 3 young girls they love the room in the bunkhouse. Our friends kids all pile in and we spin the TV around and they crash to a movie most nights. I would like to upgrade the mattress in the bedroom though. We upgraded to the 15k ac unit and love it. We moved up to this from a pop up so it's night and day. Love the pots and pans drawer. There is storage places in this thing we haven't even been able to fill.

We pulled our mattress down about 4 plus inches and rolled up rugs as fillers at the top. We then installed a pillow top type mattress pad on top of everything. We did this since the bed was too short for me. I then purchased this kit but only used one cylinder in the middle to lift and hold up the bed.

Our 320 hit the one year mark last September. In that time it saw the dealer 3 times under warranty. Here is a list of the problems, but first I have to say we are extremely pleased overall with the unit, not just the layout which we love, but the overall construction and choice of materials (with a few glaring exceptions.)

1- tires. They were horrible and under rated. I experienced three complete sidewall failures in 12 months, 6K miles of towing. I have replaced them with a much better and heavier tire.
2- hole in roofing material. I documented this here, but when installing a roof vent cover I noticed a nail or other object sticking up under the roofing membrane that caused a pinhole. Coachman at first refused to do anything. The dealer kept pushing and finally the agreed to patch the area. I objected and asked they cut out the area and install anew roof vent as I liked that better than a patch on a new roof. They relented and paid labor (I had the parts myself.)
3- water pump spring leak, dealer sent me a new one and I replaced it.
4 - various leaks - roof a/c, toilet, sink, slide seals. Dealer fixed several, I fixed a few. I am afraid the slide design will continue to let water in during hard rain events while towing (no problems when set-up.)
5- hot water heater exhaust in camper - dealer installed a shroud around heater to direct gas out.
6 - several cabinet hardware problems, all fixed by dealer.
7- broken plate on power center - was over torqued by manufacturer, dealer replaced.
8 - installed foam bed topper, mattress is awful hard.

I have changed or added several things to suit our taste.

Good to know about the tires. We've had ours for 3 months or so. So far my issues:

1. Roof leak at 2nd AC. Dealer didn't install gasket properly. They fixed it with many apologies added in.
2. Leak at island faucet (my fault)

Nothing else yet but it's only been camped in 4 times.

These trailers rock and roll quite a bit with body movement in them. Even with all jacks down etc., has anyone figured out how to brace for this?

I purchased some extra jacks off amazon. Going camping tomorrow to test them out. I'll report back afterwards with results.

I have thought about doing this. Generally I am averse to any additional set-up duties and anything extra to carry. However I may pursue this at some point.

I will be curious to see what your results are and where you put them. I have my thoughts on the best places to put them, but am certainly no expert.

At campsite now...extra jacks make a world of difference. Much more solid feeling. No more feeling like a sumo wrestling match is taking place in the bunkhouse with my 40 pound kids

I placed the jacks behind the rear wheels and forward of the entry door. I think I'll try tweaking their locations a bit. I am now planning to attached these to the trailer instead of carrying them around in a box.

I bought two sets. One set is behind the rear wheels close to the leaf shackle. Second set is in front on the front wheels just forward of the door.

Thanks. Need to look underneath when I get mine out of storage in a few months and see how difficult it would be to mount them.

For those using scissor jacks, how much distance from frame to ground do you have?

I seem to feel like I measured 20" or so on. Seems like I would need a jack with 30" or so of travel. At 24" max (linked)- wouldn't I nearly be fully extended to get any support?

You're right...mine has about 20" from ground to frame. I suppose you could find some bigger jacks. Only used them once so far, but since the site was not level, one side was only extended about half way...the other side was extended 3/4 with the addition of Lynx leveling blocks underneath. In my case, I felt these would suit my needs. I also carry some extra 2x8 boards cut to 12" long to help if I need to make up some added height.
