360 IBL indoor rear bike mount (rack)

Here is an interior bike rack that goes in the back of my 2015 360IBL. Not pictured is the blanket we put over the couch first.

This took a lot of bad ideas to come up with something that actually works and doesn't destroy the camper or bikes. As you can see things are really tight.

I used these metal mounts: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And the appropriate bike fork adapters. My mountain bike handlebars are turned backwards.

Hopefully I can save others some trial and error.

I like it, how long does it take you to set that up when moving?

It doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes to install. I store it in the very front compartment when not in use.

I forgot to mention I strap the pedals to the bottom tube so they cannot freely rotate.

Very neat set up, I do kind of the same in my front storage bin, forks go in the same type clamp but the rear is loose so I can squeeze them both in. Other thing I do is place them in opposite way of each other. Either way is great but what I like is out of sight and inside for traveling and bad weather.

Yes, it has the same bike rack as newer models, but I strap a 3x6 storage bin to it. In my experience the factory bike racks like ours don't prevent the bikes from damaging each other. I also worry about the bike tires sticking below the rack. I've drug the rear frame before and had to weld rollers on.

Gotcha. Yeah I actually don't care for the bike rack either because I spend an hour trying to get 4 bikes on it and then putting carpet strips in between all of them so they don't rub. We put our kayaks inside so can't do your trick. I may try and mod the bike rack. Wish I could weld.

I just completed another mount for my daughter's new bike. This one sits between the kitchen sink and the island. I completely removed the island and reinforced it. Without reinforcing I don't think this would last. I am quite impressed with how sturdy it is. The big mountain bike tires fit snugly and allow little side to side motion.
