Add a Ladder to Apex
Can you add a ladder to a Apex ultra lite? Will I be messing with anything structurally and if I do it myself I'm sure there will be a warranty issue if I have problems with a roof leak even if it is somewhere else. I am not the skinniest person either so it will need to hold some weight.

Please post back what they tell you, as it will help in the future.

Ditto that. I will consider doing that myself if its not a real pain. I carry a collapsible ladder just in case.

You're welcome, glad to help you out. Ben's been there for a lot of Apex owners! Great Man! Sometimes it takes a little time for him to respond but, he's never left me hanging [emoji106]

Expecting a call back soon, from anyone from a RV manufacturer, is pretty much a fantasy. Remember this is the RV Industry, not the Auto Industry. You'll be lucky to hear back, in a week.

He did call back this afternoon. The APEX 253RLS does have backers so I would assume other Ultra Lites do also. Adding a ladder is not a problem is just mentioned that besides making sure you hit the backers that you should make sure you get a ladder that reached in on the roof about a foot to catch the metal support and not just the plywood. He said to go up there with a magnet and you will be able to find the support. Only thing that confuses me after thinking about it is that I thought they used nothing but aluminum on newer trailers.

That's great. thanks for posting back and especially for the drawing.
Maybe it could be put in the library for future reference.
