apex 249 RBS vent cover

2019 model and cleaning and conditioning roof and low and behold both vent covers looking ragged. We replaced both, one the standard milky white, the other a smoked color clear one. Now we are 2nd guessing the smoked one. Any input on if we made a gaffe would be appreciated.

Probably not.
You might want to put vent toppers on those vent covers. They will help keep those vent covers from disintegrating and provide additional protection from the rain.

Put these over our vents in smoke color after replacing the vent lids.
