Apex 288 BHS TV reception

We just teased our 2013 Rockwood Roo on a 2016 Apex 288 BHS. We noticed the Apex does not have a extendable antenna. How is the reception and have you done anything to improve the reception in this model. So far, just sitting in the driveway, we really like the layout

Hey Mike, I JUST got the answer to this question this week. I have the 300bhs. This is what I was told by Major Malfunction on this forum "As for the TV antenna, there is a booster! If you look on the electrical outlet below the main TV where it plugs int, there is also the cable TV plug. On this face plate is a little black(?) button. Push that on and you will see a red light turn on. That's the signal booster. If you are using antenna TV, you want that in to get good quality reception. If you are on landline cable TV, you want this OFF. "

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick response. Our last two campers had a handle to rotate the antenna for fine tuning. That helped in spots where we have weak reception. Aside from the booster, anything to enhance the signal?

I have a 288BHS and saw improvement with the booster. However, my reception died just before winterizing this year. I'll have to debug that in the spring...

Replace it. Omni antennas have a very short range, maybe 25 miles.

Subscribing. The antenna on these things are dreadful. But not really any worse than my previous Rockwood. Contemplating a Directv mobile unit... But that might be going a little too far, even for us glampers. 😂
