Apex Nano FINALLY getting flush mounted covered sinks and ranges for 2020!
An Apex Nano will probably be our first RV.
It REALLY bugged me how Coachman had this HUGE surface mount double sink with no covers and surface mount double range. Why have a kitchen area if you can't store anything on it nor prep anything? What a colossal waste of space imo.
Old style:
Looks like they finally wised up in 2020? New flush mount kitchen! WITH sink covers!
You can also see the new kitchen setup in this recently uploaded YouTube Vid:
However, I looked at some 2020 193BHS sale ads and some of them still have the old style layout? Are the sellers just using old photos for the listing? I can't find any documentation if this flush mount kitchen is an optional upgrade on Coachman's site. They do however list covered sinks as standard on their latest Apex brochure on their website. Maybe they're just using up their old stock parts first? Anyone have the 411 on this much needed design improvement?

Another interesting factoid.
The range was rotated on that YouTube model vs the picture I posted. I prefer the YouTube version since it provides a thicker counter space strip between the range and the sink.
Guess this all boils down that I'll have to get eyeballs on whatever Apex Nano I purchase before I put the deposit down so my expectations aren't thrown a curve ball at pickup time.

In poking around online, it looks like the Apex Outfitter edition is the one with the flush sink and stove top, and the apex Nano doesn’t. I didn’t even know the flush counter top was an option until seeing your post and now I’m really curious about it.

The new kitchen surface layout is new for late production 2020 models that were built 9-2019 or after according to the RV Nerd himself, Josh @ Haylett RV. That's why you're seeing both styles of kitchen counters even though they are both "2020" models.
The Outfitter package adds:
Aluminum rims with off road tires, a toy lock, and a bike rack:

The Off Grid package adds:
2x 20lb propane tanks with cover, high volume vent fan, solar prep with a roof panel, and a shower water saver:

Those links are found @ the bottom of:

I'm definitely gonna get the Off Grid package. Comparing similar model MSRPs with and without it it appears to MSRP for ~$1k. The bigger fan will be nice, especially when loading before travel and just needing to vent the place. Sure I could DIY but that would require cutting into my new roof.
I swear I should just be a coachman salesman. Sucks being an information geek and having to pry around for all this stuff. Guess they expect you to lean on their dealers though. Who knows. Their website should have more info IMO with all the details.

Thanks for the great info. Good to know! We plan on picking one up in the next few months to pull behind our Touareg.

These are all nice upgrades coachmen is offering now. I swapped out my fan in mine for the fantastic unit, the kitchen counter space is a gripe of mine but looks like they have solved that. My Apex has been a great unit, only issue I had is the cheapo plastic bushings they use wore out on me fairly quickly and failed on a trip causing the shackle to rub the mounting point. I swapped everything out with a Dexter kit which is much more robust and bronze bushings with wet bolts. That would be my first upgrade advice to any of you looking to get an apex and start traveling.

Great mod, and helped stiffen things up and eliminate any creaking/squeaking.

Just FYI, the off-grid package removes the solar plug on the side of the body, and the spare tire is still on a steel wheel.

You can change your fan without opening up the roof. I just installed this.

For now we left the bathroom one alone. Its small but it does seem to work getting the steam out. I changed the one by the stove. I hope to get a lot of heat out when loading and arriving.

I am disappointed that ours didn't come with the solar plug above the front side market light. Need to inquire about why that was missing. A Haylett RV video showed another 2020 with the Off-Grid package, and it had the plug on the side for an additional solar panel.

I just purchased the 2020 193BHS Apex Nano.
The slide out I have has a dinette that collapses to a bed and the kitchenette is of the old style shown above.
Otherwise, it's the same layout as the "Outfitter" shown in the video.

We purchased the 193bhs early in the season and didn't get the sink cover. I've been looking around for one for months, with no help from the dealer. Anyone know any place to acquire one?
I found this off-brand one, but not as nice. Thx for any help.

Has anyone had any luck buying the flush mount stove or sink cover from the dealer for their nanos from 2020 and earlier?
