Awning loose on wall of trailer

I have a 2018 Apex Ultralite 212 RBS I noticed that when I extend the awning it seemed that the vertical wall supports were moving on the wall. When I checked them closely I found that 6 of the 8 screws that hold them to the wall were over tightened and stripped. I took one out and found absolutely no backing. Any ideas as to how this can be fixed ?
