Is there a back up camera supported by iPhone for campers?

There are cameras that people have posted before that you can view on cell phones or tablets. Biggest drawback I have heard about is range problems and major lag.

I had one a couple of years ago, it worked really well when set up on direct wifi with my phone. Picture was good, battery life was about 8 hours and it had a magnetic base, all for under $100... but, it didn't last longer than a week past the warranty period. The drawback was that this direct wifi fooled my phone in thinking it was connected to the internet and killed my data. What I'm saying is they are out there, keep searching.

I liked it but it didn't last, unfortunately.

For a little more than $100 I should probably go with the Voyager WiSight.

Okay, I'm looking to go with a Voyager WiSight Wireless RV Backup Camera. Is there a certain model I should consider?

I am considering adding a camera in the spring as I may make some solo trips. For me driving in Texas a rear view camera to see who is ready/willing/or able to pass sooner would allow me to help make passing space for them. But while I know I can get something on amazon for cheap, is it gonna work past two trips... or a a single trip to the coast?

anyhow curious to see the end result and solutions of others

Haloview 7108, hands down.
I have the previous 7101 version with 3 cameras (it supports up to 4) and it hasn't cut out once in 3+ years. I have one of the cameras mounted to the passenger side sunvisor mount in the roof and use it as dashcam, all cameras simultaneously record video to a micro SD card.

I installed mine for the same reason. But I bought a system that looks almost the same as the Haloview but at half the price. But i got it on Prime Day.

So I have a 2017 Coachmen Freedom Express 246RKS, and I am assuming there is no prewiring for a camera, but that I can pull power from running lights pretty easily.

I also wondered if the back of the trailer had wooden studs along the back wall? Seems like I recall the side framing of the walls and floor being all aluminum, but that they did use traditional RV wood framing for back of unit?

Voyager WVHS43 Digital Prewire Camera System

Literally plug & play, was a very easy install. Happy with mine,

We just installed this one from Amtifo on Amazon on our Apex Nano 193BHS (about 22' long).

Support was great - sent us the windshield suction mount for the display and extra antenna just for asking. Display is very clear, has built in recording, support for 4 cameras, and doesn't tie up the iPhone or eat up data. It's smooth, but not quite perfectly silky smooth (think security camera), but it's fine for changing lanes and checking behind you while backing.
