Brookstone 325 front closet rod

Our 2015 Brookstone 325 has a front closet with a clothes rod that stretches from side to side. Shortly after we started using the trailer, we found the rod had pulled out from the shelf, and all our clothes were in a pile on the floor. We temporarily supported the rod and had the dealer make the repairs.

When he opened the bottom of the supporting shelf, he found that the screws for the support clamps for the rod had missed the backer boards, so the only thing holding the rod in place was the 1/4 inch under panel. Must have been a bad day at the factory!

My dealer put in some good reinforcing, then closed it all up. Just completed a 2000 mile trip down south, and the rod is holding!

Since the Brookstones and Chapperals come down the same assembly lines, I'm wondering how many rods have fallen down in the closets?

Had the same thing happen to me only we were away and just fixed it myself. Went to Lowes bought 3/4" conduit some long bolts, to thru both for support and put it back together. No problems so far.

We have a 2011 and have not had that problem. They have changed the Brookstones quite a bit over the years.

Have the 2014 Brookstone 334 and had the same issue. Got down to south Texas had the clothes on the floor and a kinked clothes rod. Patched it up and will get it done right when we get back to the dealer next spring.
