Everytime I setup or go to use the Outside Shower, I ask myself "WTH were they thinking with this layout?"
Yes...that's the fresh water connection directly above the shower.....

There seems to be as many "oh that's a neat idea" moments as there are "WTH were they thinking" moments with travel trailers. Ha ha.

IT'S HOME!! 2015 Catalina 263RLS. Shower leak turned out to be loose fitting on hot water connection.
Going out this weekend for first shakedown trip. Can't wait!
We love the layout of the RLS and also have the 50th anniversary package.

As a follow up - Everything was going well until Sunday morning. Found water puddled on floor near refrig. Opened the cover where the water pump is located. Fittings on both the inlet and outlet were loose and dripping, albeit very slowly. Was able to tighten and all is well. On way home, was alerted that something was flapping on the roof. Pulled over at gas station to check and it was the cover over the refrigerator vent. Factory put in the two screws on the front (and caulked the holes) but did not install the rear screws though the cap (but caulked the holes!). Was able to fix on the road.
Everything is now great and working as expected.
DW and I are now "Happy Campers!"

Cable type used in 2015 Catalina 243rbs
Can anyone tell me what cable, rg59 or rg6, is used in the Catalina 243rbs. Would like to install satellite but not sure of the cable type used

RG6 would be what's needed.

Catalina and Catalina Santara owners
Went for our first trip with our 303rls and loved it. All worked well, no problems. One small issue, with the dometic toilet, one side is flush with the floor while the other side was not. So it rocked back and forth, anyone have this issue and how did you fix it? 😊 we tried to screw it down but that didn't help.

Don't have that problem with the toilet but there may be a piece of debris from construction under the toilet preventing it from sitting flush. You might try removing the toilet and checking. I'm sure if your dealer can take care of it if you are not sure you want to mess with it!
Glad everything else went great though! We love our 303!

Thinking of getting satellite next season. Does anyone know if 2014 Catalina 273dbs will accept the satellite cable. I just have one coax connection on the outside.

Previous post said that they had a water leak by the fridge and it was the water pump connections. Had the same problem with my 2015 243 RBS the first week end using it. Had to take out the divider panel and then tighten the fittings on the pump. Bought the trailer in July 2014 and one other problem I found is that the rubber roof has some bubbling in some areas where the roof paneling is seamed. Factory rep says that it is normal and to keep an eye on it so that the bubbles don't get bigger, if they do than take it to the dealer to get fixed. Dealer says that they put a small hole in the rubber roof and inject glue in the bubble area. I told dealer I don't want any holes in roof and I will keep an eye on the bubbles. So far they haven't got bigger. Then also on the first week end the hot water heater didn't light on gas but worked with electric. Dealer fixed it, found that the gap on the igniter was too far apart to light the gas. I guess they didn't prep that one. Otherwise I haven't any problems with it since then and used it all summer and fall till snow started to fall. Will be enjoying it as soon as the weather gets warmer.

we picked up our 2011 24FBS and love it, the only thing we found was a sewer smell every once in a while, took the cap off the vent pipe and found the stack didn't go all the way through the roof membrane into the cap so this spring I will be putting in a new stack from the bathroom closet up to the cap through the roof.

Took our 2011 21BH 11K miles last spring over 3 months. Stopped at 40 camp grounds in 23 states. From Pittsburgh to Yosemite and back- down the east coast allong the gulf coast including Grand canyon - Yellowstone back through Mackinaw . Once in a life time trip. The Catalina was next to perfect for the DW and me (no pets). We towed it with a 4Runner and had minimal problems - mostly man caused issues.

Hi all, this last weekend i installed a longer stack in the bathroom closest so the stack NOW goes completely through the roof and through the cap on the roof, as I was doing the stack i noticed that the piece under the top cap said "stack to be 2 - 2 3/4 inches above roof", the pipe ended just under the roof membrane and they put a 1 inch ring of ABS pipe in the top of the under cap to keep rain out. not a great install now a little silicone to seal the pipe and it's done
