Chaparral 360IBL Price Help

We're considering trading in our Apex 288 and purchasing a Chaparral 360IBL. I was hoping to get some actual numbers from those of you who have purchased one. I realize options and location makes a difference, but a general idea is better than none at all.
So... how much did you pay? And... what do you like/not like about this model?

We got ours for $38,800... plus did really well on our trade in... so there is probably some room on that number with no trade or cash.

We really love the layout... especially the living room / kitchen layout.

Sounds like a good price. Do you remember what upgrades you got? Seems like the auto-leveling (about $3000?) is the big ticket item, which we dont need. i assume yours doesnt have it?

No auto level or JT Strongarms on ours. We do have the ultra leather couch and theater seats.

I would sure rethink about not getting the Ground control 3 on your unit. I don't think I'll ever have another 5er without it. Well worth the $$ IMNSHO.

Im a seasonal camper. For me, leveling is one-and-done. I dont want to pay $3000 to level it once.

We paid just over 36K 2 years ago for our 2015 model. As for upgrades, I would like to have the auto level. Also I don't know if it's available, but we need a larger fridge. Also washer and dryer, it's already plumbed for it. Otherwise, we like ours a lot and hope it will last a long time.

Anyone know if the second A/C is ducted separately or tied into the main ductwork? We have 30amp service and cannot use the second a/c until we move our site to 50amp. So if its separate and we have no a/c in the master, that would be a deal breaker.

There are ducts that run from the main AC to the front bedroom. You can close these off to use the front AC. The front AC itself does not have duct work. Dumps straight into room.

Hello all! I purchased a 2018 360ibl and picked it up 3 weeks ago. I ordered it with everything except tank heaters, dual pane windows and the fantastic fan. Price was $40,490, plus tax in Indiana. I'm thinking this was pretty close to wholesale price.

The front factory AC is now ducted. Not sure about the 2017's but I believe that they are as well. Coachmen has also switched to Coleman AC units in place of the Dometics. The Coleman's use a dual zone thermostat control for both units. (No controls on the front AC unit itself). We too camp at a lot of campgrounds that only have 30 amp service, so it will be interesting to see how this will work out for us. When you run just the main (rear) AC you do get some cool air out of the front vents. Our problem is we often like to run just the fan on the front AC to drown out the campground noise. Since it appears that the ductwork is tied together when you run the front fan only, no cold air can come to the front of the coach. The other issue we are having when on 50 amp service running both AC's is the temperature sensor for the front unit is mounted in the hallway so if the bedroom door is closed you either cook or freez based on the temp in the hallway.

Another odd thing we noticed this past weekend while camping is the bedroom light switch is in the hallway, so you have to open the door to turn the light on or off?

I do plan on relocating the light switch and temperature sensor into the bedroom soon.

Overall I am very happy with our unit. The fit and finish is very good. It's not perfect, but better than other brands I looked at.

Good luck and I hope I helped answer some of your questions.

Bedroom light location has always puzzled me too... and why they put the bunk house ladder behind the door so it hits when you open the door!

They did change this for 2018. The ladder is now on the right side of the bunk so you can open the door.

I will also probably add some kind of shelf along the bed in the master as well. We need someplace for alarm clock, phones, TV remote, etc.

Oh wow... glad they changed that! We fixed it by hooking the ladder over the edge if the bed instead if the bracket! Totally agree with the shelf or a nightstand

Y'all are getting good prices on your IBL's. I think you will really like it lulu. We are still amazed how nice it is for the money!

We like the bigger fridge and fireplace. We're heading to the Gulf Coast Sunday so I'm sure we're going to like the 2nd AC too!

The wife and I are hoping to pick up 2018 360IBL next week. Great to see so many positive comments on it. We are looking forward to the new unit.

Can anyone measure the distance from the board on bottom bunk not the mattress to the bottom of the top bunk for me? Trying to see if we can fit pack and plays on the bottom bunk for my twins. Thanks!
