Chaparral 390qsmb
Anyone own or have input on a 390qsmb? Looking for the good, bad, or indifferent on the unit. Any mods you've completed or want to complete.
Thanks!

I bought one in January. I considered over 15 different trailers. Every mid-bunk I could find in the price range I was wanting. Went and looked at 6. The 390 checked every box except large fresh water tank. I've been out in it 3 times and the only thing I have found wrong is the coax going to the front BR was kinked and cut. I fixed it in 5 minutes.
It is the perfect trailer for us. I had a traditional bunk house 5er for 13 years and wanted something with more living room space. This nailed it and the kitchen layout is great.

I mounted some hooks in the basement to hang power cord and water hose. Put some decorative baskets on the wall in the kitchen because DW liked them. And I put a magnetic knife holder next to the stove.

I'm a little late on this one, but I removed the outdoor kitchen in favor of a beer station.
Overall, we love our 390!

That's high on my wish list, along with keyless compartment doors! What brand did you get and where?

Me x2. I want to get one of these for our 390QSMB. I've seen them on this site before: https://www.rvlock.com/
I didn't like the non-lockable bathroom pocket door that's in our 390 so I picked up a pocket door latch that's lockable at HD.

Mine is from Bauer products it of Grand Rapids MI. www.bauerproducts.com
Got it at the COA rally, they were selling them for $100. Easy install, and simple to use.

AP Products makes a version too for about $150. It is capacitive so you touch it, no buttons to physically push. Was looking at them a couple days but figured since this weekend iso my last trip, why bother spending the money this year.

Replaced the bunkhouse door with a folding door so the kids can sleep in there without putting the slide out if necessary

Do you have the double bed or the sofa/sleeper. I have the sofa and can get in the door with the slide closed.

Makes sense. It is just 3 of us. DS is 18 and wanted his place to hang out. Funniest part is, half the time he sleeps on the couch in the living room.

That couch is very comfortable. We pulled it out once and it does not lay flat, but as a couch it is great for naps!
