Clipper 17FQ - Where did THAT come from?

In today's edition of "Where did THAT come from"......

Was allowing my gray water tank to fully drain after coming home from my latest trip.... when this thing clunked into the bucket. Click image for larger version

A one-way valve of some sort.... but where would it have come from and how did it get into my graywater tank?

Any comments would be welcome. Will this cause an issue on my next trip?
