Coachmen 233RBS Discontinued?
Heard from a dealer that Coachemn won't be offering the 233RBS in 2018. Anyone else hear that as well?
We were going to wait until January to buy one but will look a little harder for a 2017 if this is true.
If a model is discontinued, is that a reason not to buy that model? Spareparts an issue at all or is everything so generic that most parts can be made or reconstructed.

Gerard,
You are correct. I spoke to the dealer in Sacramento that had the 2017 near the bottom of the page and he is the one that told me this.
Glad to see there are dealers carrying them. Maybe it's the fact that they are all Patriot editions.

Glad it's not being discontinued cause it's a great couple's camper. We had a 2014 that we loved but out grew due to grand kids. We traded ours in earlier this year for a 321FEDS which is totally sweet but still miss my little 233 cause we could park it on pretty much any campsite due to the size. Now we are limited with a 32 footer. Good luck with yours.

We are on the fence between this one and a Rockwood 2502KS. Is there anything you disliked about yours? The Rockwood has a sofa and a smaller dinette and not sure if it's worth getting the sofa on the Rockwood.
There are other tradeoffs as well between the two.

The first upgrade we did was changed out the padding in the dinette seat cushions as they had zero support. Last October we removed the dinette, put in theater seating and used tv trays as our table. We also upgraded the mattress...a given as they come with cardboard for mattresses. Other than those items, we left it as it came from the factory. I can't say I didn't like the dinette but I liked the theater seating more. I'd have to say not being able to walk around the foot of the bed was probably the only thing I disliked because it made getting the bed covers in place very difficult. And I learned to accept that it was what it was...lol.

Thanks for your reply. The best thing about the newer 233RBS is that they use a 80" long mattress and they are easy to find. I think 2017 was the first year for the 80" mattress.

So...just got an email from Forest River. They are discontinuing the model effective this month. The only 2018 models that will be left are the ones currently on order or in dealer stock.
We are in process of buying a 2017 right now anyway.

Just took delivery of our 2018 223RBS last week. Had to order it, took almost ten weeks to get it. Sad to hear they're discontinuing it. We love the open floorplan, it was the only Catalina Legacy without the annoying entertainment center wall at the foot of the bed. And no fireplace. Who wants a fireplace in a camper?

Ours has the entertainment wall but no fireplace. Never knew they had that. We kinda like the entertainment wall because it has a bunch of storage in it but I can see how some people may not like that.
Where is the TV in yours?
