Coachmen Factory Contact

Just wanted to report a good experience....I emailed the Coachmen service website yesterday with a question about winter use. Well I received an actual live person phone call today from the factory. The info was exactly what I needed. Great to know they respond so quickly.

Bob Jewell is (unless was) the man in charge of the repair shop at Coachmen (in Indiana) if you, like me, take it to them to have work done. I can recommend the work and Bob.

For the class A motorized stuff. Nate Hedges and Bob Jewell are great to deal with. Your Pursuit 31BDP is out at the service center right now getting some TLC. Hope to get it back in the next few weeks and load up for a trip to FL.

Awesome news indeed!

When we were shopping for campers I emailed them with questions about the 2015 model changes and got a call back from the Catalina line manager. We were on the phone for nearly an hour, he answered every question and even offered up helpful info! That experience was a huge factor in our decision to buy the Catalina.

Wow... Haven't heard of this kind of response from any modern day company, let alone an RV mfg. Maybe a reason I talk to very few disgruntled Coachmen owners. Love our Apex. Hope to never need to call them for a problem, but good to know there's a human on the other end.

Just a thought but Coachmen used to be independent. Hopefully being bought by FR won't change their customer service philosophy. And it might just be me but there does seem to be fewer Coachmen complaints on the forums. Probably wishful thinking but I hope not.

Coachmen has been good to us every time I call them,
they stay on the phone till they are sure the question
has been answered, at least for me. Same with parts,
not sure about service since our Chappy is over 8 years
old and been out of warranty except for the roof for
some time.

Even when I called about our roof last month the guy
at Coachmen felt bad when I told him someone has already
repaired three quarters the roof and they had no record
of such he felt badly since he could not help. I understood
and held nothing against him or coachmen, someone did
a bad repair that lasted a few years, it's not their fault.

If you go over to the Good Sam Reflector there is allot of
bashing of all brands along with Coachmen. I can say that
the Class C we had, the MFG didn't support us half as
much as Coachmen....

Does anybody have an idea of who I should contact regarding the aftermarket installation of a tv in a Brookstone master bedroom? I know that they can be ordered with a tv, but mine does not have it and there is no wall sticker showing the hard point. None at my dealership have the wall plate to measure...so I am out of ideas. Dont want to be making more holes than I need.

No Sorry

You might try using a stud finder, I would think it would work to show where the backing is. They are fairly cheap at Lowes or HD, Good Luck!

How would a stud finder work with aluminum studs and no nails. (glue)? Not trying to be a smart butt. I have the same problem in my bedroom on my 5th wheel. Rather than having holes trying to find where the tv goes I decided not to have a tv in the bedroom. I wouldn't use it anyway.

Sorry didn't know it had aluminum frame. But...there are two types of stud finders...one uses a magnet (finds nails) the other uses a capacitor to sense a density change behind the wallboard(basically) and is much more accurate. So that type should work, I would think. Just trying to help with an alternative way to solve the problem.

I wasn't being critical of your statement to help this person. It is a problem from the factory. They put stickers all over the trailers to tell you everything and no stickers to tell you where the hidden reinforcement for a tv bracket goes. I appreciate all the help from anyone on here when I need it. I was trying to make a point hoping someone from the manufacturer might read it. SORRY

It is a 2015 Coachman Brookstone 315RL. If I have to I will give their factory rep a call and ask for details. Its a factory option, so I am confident they will be able to advies me the extent of the backing and max weights etc.

Thanks

We actually made the purchase Mid January. It had to come from another affiliated dealer so it arrived last week. We will not be doing our walk through until after holidays mid-march.
