Disapointment - made right

Picked up my new catalina 296rks everything looked good, Not! we made it about 30 miles when the fiberglass front cap started to come apart from the roof and then the rubber roof started to pull off. I think I will fight for a new rig. I dont want a damaged unit thats why we bought new this time. 25 years of pulling rvs and never seen this happen.

Wow major disappointment, I can't see them not replacing the whole unit, obviously some major defect there. No way would I accept that, keep us posted!

It may have even more damage due to water, the strips that cover the metal rails that conect the roof to the side walls are missing, exposing all the screws.

I am not too sure that you will be offered a new replacement trailer. They rarely go for this mode. They will repair it even if the repair is higher than a new unit. This was my case with my minilite that went twice at the factory from Canada for major repairs not counting the 2 trip returns shipping.

I would guess that their thinking is that they either have to fix it or scrap it. If they took it back, gave you a new TT and then fixed the original one, then they would have to sell it as "used". I would think that there would be a point where it would be cheaper to total it and replace it with a new TT.

Wow!! pontiac rv comes through again, great bunch of people. I was at the shop @9am by 10 Am I hade a new trailer they looked at it said they coud fix it but they had another one that i could have. doing another walk through 10am tomorrow

You are so right about the dealer coming through! As already said this is not pretty common at all, right yes but not common.
