The escape windows we have on our Wildcat open & all have screens. Screens pop out easily for exit. The windows however stick to the seals almost every time we put the Wildcat in storage for any length of time. I try to remember to open them during our set up so that if needed they will be easier to get open.
One other issue we've noted with them is the slotted red handle prop isn't very reliable & the window can slam shut in a good wind or the handle pop all the way outside & leave the window dangling in the breeze. I like the idea of drilling some holes...but it would take a pin on both sides to keep it from popping out or falling in. Hmmm....
We also have an emergency escape ladder stowed in the upstairs bedside night stand so if need be we can get out without jumping.
