Finally home and being prepped
PDI went well and that 204RD is home. Started loading kit in and trying to figure where stuff will live. Also upgraded the mattress from a local friend who makes custom stuff.
Still need to
- replace storage locks
- get a surge protector
- get a 50ft shore power cable
- build a storage box for WDH parts when not connected
- get some bins
- get a few more kitchen things
Maiden voyage is April 19-20. Can't wait.

Nice rig I was looking at your list of things and I have found instead of one long 50' I use three power cables it gives more flexibility the shorter the power cord provides less voltage drop. JMHO

What's your solution for replacing storage locks?

I suppose I could get a 25 ft extension instead. Will look into that.

All the online RV shops (like etrailer) offer options. I've gone with new locks that use a barrel type key.

We love our 192RBS. Much the same as yours, with a slight interior variation. DW's first on the list was a Memory Foam topper. Both she, I, and MACK think it was a great investment.
On our very first night of camping, I found that we needed to level the camper.
Right after that I bought the Camco "Lego-Style" blocks and an Anderson wedge block. It seems that dual axle rigs a a bit trickier than single axle units.

Here's a spare key for your barrel locks.

We narrowed done our choices to the 192RBS and 204RD. Chose this one as my DW preferred the bath in the middle to break up the space more.

We think the space in the 204RD is amazing! Love the closet and extra space immediately on entering! This unit truly has more space than we even need. Happy Camping!

Okay, this may be a dumb question. DW and I bought a 2018 Coachman 204RD in October and won't be able to use it for a couple more months. It's still winter up here! Just curious, where do you plan to use the surge protector? Is this for shore power?
Thanks much,
Doug in Alaska

Yeah, I didn't get that either. If pointing out a type of lock is easily pickable, then I welcome that type of negativity. Frankly, I never knew that.

Maybe a "hey did you know" post would have been more appropriate. A sarcastic post like the one above is not appreciated.
I'm also aware of the supposed ability to pick a barrel lock with a pen. Pretty sure though if I saw someone trying to open a lock with a pen I'd say something.
Wouldn't think twice if someone tried to open with a the same key that fits 10,000s of thousands of cargo doors.

Shore power at campgrounds, mostly in provincial parks this year. Maybe a few Harvest Host locations if they allow plug-in.

If a crook wants in they will do damage, no matter the lock.
Just sayin'

Locks of any kind only delay the person who wants to get in. I look at it this way. I do the best I can to secure all my stuff. But I know if they want it they will get it. I also know if I make it a littler harder they will move on to someone else’s stuff who has not done anything to protect their stuff. Thieves are lazy

Moral of the story is, don't keep anything valuable in those compartments, especially if you put your rig 'in storage'. I think I will continue to keep mine unlocked, as the damage caused by a dirtbag trying to pry them open will far exceed the value of the contents.

Exactly, which is why I'm making it "a bit harder" than the trailer next to me. Several colleagues have had chairs and stuff stolen while out on a hike when they had the stock locks on. None have had anything taken after changing out the locks.
