Front Cap LED lights Apex Trailer

Hello,

I just purchased an Apex 259bhss and it has the front cap leds.

There seems to be no switch for them to turn on.

Plus they didn't turn on when I plugged the trailer to the truck for towing using the high or low beams.

The question is, how do these lights turn on?

The sales person told me that I have to put a jumper wire in the trailer plug and they come on. These lights are for when you are driving only he said????

I have to connect a jumper on the plug in?seems odd.

If there is any ideas on how to turn these lights on, that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

My Apex 22QBS has a front cap LED rocker switch in the pass through compartment on the ceiling.

My 288bhs also had the switch in the front storage compartment, entrance door side. I moved it to the main panel, just a stupid place for them to put the switch!

Thanks for the replies guys
What made me think is that the sales person told me to jump the connections on the trailer plug and the lights will come on.
I knew something wasn't right lol..

Thanks again

Jump terminals in 7 pin connector

When you jump the "Battery" terminal and the "Running Lights" terminal on the 7 pin plug (only when in camp and the plug is removed from the TV), you apply trailer battery power to all the lights connected through the running lights terminal. Some use this to light their campsite.
