Gas/Carbon Monoxide Detector

We purchased a second, smaller RV, a 2020 Freedom Express 192rbs at an auction in July where it has been a theft. We really like it since our other unit is a 26' and we have travel from the east coast to the west and Alaska in a smaller model before trading for the 26'. My problem is the Gas/Carbon Monoxide detector has started making a whistling noise although the green light indicator is not flashing nor has turned red. Our closest RV dealer suggested I unmount it and unwire then after a few minutes rewire to see if the whistling stopped. It did stop but now the light is flashing a stead green. Since we have camped in it with no issue before now, I really never noticed whether the light stays a steady green or flashing green. Any of you who have the combo wall mounted detector would you let me know if yours is steady green or flashing green. The RV dealer nearby isn't sure since there are so many different models out there. I just want to make sure we are safe or should it be replaced. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Get the make and model number from the detector and visit the mfr's website. There should be a manual or at least some FAQ's on their units.

Have you looked closely to see if there is a test/reset button on the front?

If it is a Safe-T-Alert alarm the green light should flash on/off for about 10 minutes after power is applied while it warms up. It should be solid green after that.
