Has anyone replaced blue led awning lights?

We have recently upgraded to a 2020 Coachmen Catalina 243bhs. We like it and have quickly made it out own.

However, we are not fans of the blue led awning lights strip that is against the camper, under the awning. Has anyone replaced that strip with clear or color changing strip? Products used? Difficulty?

give the search box at the upper right a try there are tons of articles about changing out awning lights. I had the modern blue lights in my frig and it drove nuts FR sent me replacement at no charge a little off topic I don't understand their love of blue lights.

I did it on my Apex Nano 193 bhs. Super Easy. Literally just cut the wires, pulled the old strip out. Cut a new strip to size. spliced the new wires in and done.

Thank you! My husband is getting ready to start this project before our next trip. We hate the blue lights!

When you refer to ‘blue lights’ are you referring to ‘bluish white’ LEDs, i.e., 5000K or above? That’s pretty much what we have under our awning and we prefer 3000K, which are the color of incandescent halogen lights. We have already replaced our inside dome lights with the warmer 3000K LED lights. The higher temperature lights are undesirable since they have poor color rendition (C.R.I. Color Rendering Index) and can even affect circadian rhythms and sleep cycles if used at night.

And they put those goddam things everywhere. Their lighting designer was brought over from "Pimp My Ride."

Exactly!! And they aren't really functional, you can't see to do anything, it just makes every appear to be the same day-glo neon-ish blue hue, and honestly it give me a headache

I guess everybody is different and to each their own, but personally I like the blue lights. They put out just the right amount of light and not the stark white you get from white LEDs. I don't want to be camping next to an air strip field!!!
