Mountndream, we have the 5.3 V-8. The tow up the mountain went well Keep the RPMs ~ 3000-3200. Couple times, jumped up around 4000. Didn't like the sound of that, so backed off, and cruised on up Saluda grade on I-26. Came down the mountain from Asheville, on I-40. Was already in tow mode, pulled it down in third gear. Hardly had to touch the brakes. Did several times just for my comfort, was was pleased with the way the truck did, both up and down.
