JT Strong Arms - Yes or No

Hello again. You guys have been great. We're considering having the JT Strong Arms installed on our Chaparral 336tsik before we take delivery. Are they worth the investment and are they the brand we should be purchasing?

Let us know your thoughts. Thanks everyone!

I've had them on my 5th wheel almost a year. First trip out was with out them and the 5th wheel moved around a lot more than the TT I had. Installed them myself. Not a big job at all.
Made for a much more stable trailer. Won't be without them.

Thank You for sharing your experience. I think we'll have our dealer install them before we take delivery.

Yes... They are fantastic. I went with SteadyFast as they had less mounting hardware and easier tightening mechanism (no T handle to lose). But same principle.

Ditto. I installed mine myself to save some money. Lost some hide on my gravel trailer shed floor.

Diddo keeps the wife happy and did the install myself. Just make sure you get some good drill bits and it will go by pretty quick.

I had JT StrongArm knockoffs and like the SteadyFast brand better. Less knobs, easier on the hands, same or slightly better performance.

After reading the above review, what I got out of it was it helped eliminating trailer movement, but not all. He also removed the electronic stabilizers.

There is no product that will totally eliminate all movement. The two products mentioned come closest.

Adding a set of Xchaulks really helps also.

I have the Bal version of the JT's. They work fine but next time I will go with the Steadyfast. Have a friend with a set and watching him set up it seems so much simpler and easier to use. JMHO.

Yes, I use X-Chocks with my JTs.

I have a set of steady fast installed and did help tt movement some. Added two XChocks and it did not help. Wondering if there is a sequence to the setup I am doing wrong. Typically add XChocks, deploy electric stabilizers, then 3 slides, then Strongarm devices,
Other than XChocks, setup is the way I was told!

I went with the BAL version and very happy with them. As far as setup goes, there's only the 1 nut to loosen/tighten. Also use X-Chocks and the trailer is very stable.....

Wouldn't be without them. Don't forget to loosen them before you attempt to raise or lower Fiver with landing gear. I had to get a custom piece of C channel so I could attach the rear stabilizers to the rear of Fiver so they would be effective.
