Just purchased Coachmen Apex Nano 213RDS

Looking forward to getting it out on the road. I read in another thread where somebody installed a dimmer on the outdoor awning blue LEDs. Can someone direct me to the right part for this dimmer. My searches didn't bring up specific information.

Any tips or tricks for a new owner? Will pull it with a 2017 Chevy Tahoe.

I don’t know the tongue weight but my tow vehicular can tow 8500 pounds so I’m not overly concerned about the tongue weight. I don’t load much gear in the vehicle or trailer and my weight is well under 5500 pounds even with full tanks.

You should worry more about your Tahoe's payload capacity, instead of its towing capacity, when considering tongue weight. Check the driver's door yellow sticker, it'll say something like "Occupants and cargo should not exceed xxxxlbs".
You'll always run out of payload Way before getting close to the towing capacity number. And SUVs have softer suspension and lower payload capacities than a comparable truck.

I'am thinking of a 213rds. Does it have an OTA antenna. I see it does't come with a tv at all. TW on that is well under 500lbs on the brochure. I really don't see it going over 600 loaded

It has a good OTA roof top antenna and in mine two places to mount TVs on the wall. One in the bedroom and one in near the door. Both locations have backer boards for mounting, cable TV connections, and 120v outlets.

Does anyone know how big the body is on this RV (213RDS). I'am just wondering if my current cover will fit when I get one or if I should include with the sale of my old TT. I have a 20-22ft cover right now.

On the Coachmen web site it shows the trailer as being 25ft overall tongue to bumper. If you take approx. 3 to 3.5 ft for the tongue the body would be around 21.5 to 22ft in length. Also they are 90in wide if that matters.

Hello, I am considering the 213rds as a first couples camper. Curious how yours or anyone else's experience has been with this camper. Also, how has your towing experience been with your tahoe?

My Tahoe pulled it with no issues. Again as mentioned look at your total weight (passengers, cargo in SUV and trailer). I would agree you should upgrade your suspension or have a good weight distribution hitch.

We have a Spirit 1943RB matched with our 2013 Yukon Denali, engine is a 6.2 litre, it handles the trailer very well. The tow max is 8100, my weight limit for the trailer was 80% which I’m not their yet. All our stuff with the trailer is below payload max.

If we had a Suburban it would be as close to a perfect match as I would want. That difference in wheelbase does help when towing.
