Looking at a used Catalina Deluxe 30BHS

Hi All,

I'm planning to go look at a used 2013 Catalina 30 BHS tomorrow morning, little late for posting, I know. Any questions I should ask or specific things I should look for? I've got the basics down, but any Coachmen owners may know specific items of interest. Thanks!

Check out the outside window seals to see if their pulling away from the window. I would ask to hookup the water to check everything out, leaks in pipes or holding tanks etc. put water in fresh holding tank and check out the water pump. And of course check out the roof and inside for leaks. 2013 should be in great shape but depends on how it was treated. Check out the heat and air. Good luck

Thanks for the advice. Didn't have a lot of time to do alot of inspecting, the owner had a meeting to get to and was pressed for time. Unit was very clean, showed me the service records where everything was inspected / serviced 4 months ago. Has been moved less than 100 miles so far, which is good and bad in my opinion. I have a line on a 292BHDS Liberty Edition for likely same price, but 1 year older. Now have to decide. Both being equal, is the move to all aluminum / fiberglass better than wood / al siding?

The alum/Azdel means no rot if a leak were to develop. Less costly to repair.

Also get a good WDH with built in sway control, not a friction bar.
