Low point drain

I am looking at winterizing our 2023 Coachman Freedom Express 192RBS. Videos etc that i have seen and read is there are low point drains for TT. I have looked under the unit and can’t find them. Would they be in the unit? Or not at all?

Thanks,

Steve

I haven’t owned one that didn’t have low point drains.
Normally you have one blue and one red.

I have no familiarity with your unit, but an alternative to using the low-point drains is to fill the entire system with RV antifreeze, displacing the water.
  • Get two gallon jugs of RV antifreeze (NOT automotive antifreeze).
  • Disconnect from city water.
  • Bypass the water heater and drain it. Leave it bypassed all winter.
  • There will be a winterizing valve. Near it will be a short piece of flexible tubing. One end of the tubing is not connected. The other end terminates in the winterizing valve.
  • Turn the winterizing valve so it points to (draws from) the flexible tubing.
  • Turn on the water pump
  • Open one jug of antifreeze. Insert the tubing into it.
  • One at a time, go to each faucet and run water until it comes out pink.
  • Do both hot and cold at each tap.
  • Do the toilet(s).
  • Do the outside shower (if fitted).
  • Leave the antifreeze in the unit (and drains) until the spring.
  • In the spring, simply run water (city water is fine) from each tap until the pink antifreeze is flushed out.
  • Then set the water heater valves so it is not bypassed.
This will take about 1-1/2 gallons. It's under $4.00/gallon at Walmart.

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the Coachmen sub-forum since the OP is asking for model-specific information(low point drains location).

On my 2018 234??? Freedom Express, there are 3 drains outside the TT. On the rear left side there is a hot and cold low point drain. At the front left side, there is a fresh water drain. To see them you have to get down on your knees look up. Left and right are predicated on standing at the rear and looking toward the hitch coupler.

Great help Phil.

I’ve found there’s always confusion defining the left vs right side of an RV.
If it helps…..I describe the difference as street side or curb side of the rig.

It usually helps those I help. I dunno.

They are tucked up high and close above the side extreme rear of the TT. They are somewhat hidden from view IMO. They are also VERYCLOSE together making it somewhat difficult to tighten and untighten. They are on my todo list to modify.
