New for 2020? Apex Nano 194BHS. Adds 6 inches to the 193BHS bunks and a Camp Kitchen!

I was pretty sold on getting the 193BHS. However it looks like they're releasing a new for 2020 194BHS. It's a half foot longer and ~119lbs heavier than the 193BHS. However it comes with 6" longer bunks and a camp kitchen. I can't find any pics nor reviews of it just yet even though there are some for sale listings.

Any idea when it'll be available?

I can't see it adding to much cost to the 193BHS, kinda makes the venerable 193BHS obsolete? No?

Hmm, well they just updated their website layout pic and now the bunks are showing as 30x74, not 30x80. :\

Hopefully that was just website/internal snafu and it's going to be the real release size, cause if so why make the 194bhs 6 inches longer than the 193bhs?

And FINALLY they have dealer stock with pics! This was updated a few hours ago.

MSRP is $24,375. Dry weight 3,658lbs

The camp kitchen has a range, fridge (score!), small counter prep space, 120v outlet, and most importantly a bottle opener. Nice!

Here's another one with some slightly better pics shown in a well lit shop:
https://www.rvt.com/Coachmen-Apex-Na...55629-UX119100

It has the off grid package (2x 20lb propane and cover, bigger power vent, solar) for $25,471 MSRP listed @ $16,877 USD.

So it looks like the off grid package is $1,096 MSRP.

33.7% off MSRP? Off a brand new unit? I wonder what the catch is as that's better than the 20-30% I've been hearing tossed around as standard.

As an owner of the 193BHS I do appreciate how the 194 adds the extra 6 inches on the bunks and the addition of a pantry in the kitchen. However, my main (minor complaints) with the 193 is that the room/space the person has in the upper bunk is small - too tight for a bigger kid to use. I couldn't tell from the pictures as to whether they addressed this. What compounds the feeling of tiny space is that there is no window on the upper bunk. Still not there on the 194.

As for the outside kitchen, not a selling feature for me as I really use that outside storage right next to the dump pipe on the 193 (street side) that is moved to curbside on the 194 for the kitchen. It is a great place to keep all my "dirty" supplies (chocks, hoses, tools, blocks, etc.). However, I could see how not having to bring a BBQ separately makes it appealing. (not me I love my larger Coleman BBQ).

Also couldn't tell if they fixed the grey/black drain pipes. Many on the forum here have re-piped the black pipe so that it exits in a straight line from the black tank and just extended the grey pipe to meet it rather than the current situation where there is a bend in the black pipe. A straight black pipe makes it so much easier to clean out the black tank.

Not enough yet to make me want to change, but nice that there is an option before moving up to the 208.

I'm 99% sure the extra 6 inches is now solely for that pantry they added in the kitchen. Bunks are still the same size as the 193bhs

I wonder if adding a window to the top bunk would be a DIY project? lol.

Trying to keep the weight/length in check so sticking with a single axle for now.

I have a 185bhs and was also wondering on the top bunk window as well, it would be a welcome addition.

Looks like the updated drawing has added a pantry and took away the new bunk length.
I would love to get those sink covers for my 193

Late 2020 models (built at the end of 2019) started to get the updated sink/range. I'm sure with enough $ you could get a service center to replace your existing kitchen counter and related stuff.

Anyone have a parts source for this kind of stuff for our apex trailers? I was trying to source another cabinet door for a project and would also like to source the new sink and counter. I have found the new flush mount stovetop already. I tried contacting Coachmen direct but they are lame and never respond back.

My son just ordered one. He was pretty set on the 193 until the 194 was introduced. The outdoor fridge is a huge plus, and the pantry is big also.
Looks like a great unit for his family.

I ordered additional cabinet doors for a project (our 193 didn't have the doors under the dinette and we wanted to add one under the bed to access the storage) and emailed <anmiller2@forestriverinc.com> This was in January of 2019, so not sure if it is the same contact now, but we got cabinets and hardware that are an exact match.

Thanks for the info! I will try this and see if I can obtain what I need.

I have a 194BHS with Off Grid on order. An OKC dealer matched a $16,999 ad that was listed in PA. Doc fee was $409 and prep fee of $895 for a grand total of $18,303. Had to finance to get that price. No ETA as of yet.

Hi All,

I just registered and glad to be a part of this community. We currently have a Coachmen 17bh, previously a Fun Finder 14 something or another. I was/am very interested in purchasing a 2020 178bhs, but came across this 193/194bhs.

I've got a few questions...
- What are the total widths of the 193 & 194's? (need it to be less than 8' w/awning)
- What are the lengths of the bunk of each? Website says they are both 30x74.
- The floorplan for the 194 shows a space at the foot end of the queen bed.

I really like the 178bhs, but they are not sold on the west coast. Also, the bunks on these are "doubles", but I can't find the actual size of the bunks... anyone here know? Unfortunately, all manufacturers websites seem to have all kinds of mistakes.

Thanks,

Henry

p.s. I'll probably have more questions...
