Exclamation No heat in bunk room......by design?

Purchased a 2015 Apex 300 BHS. Bunk room in the back with slide out and outdoor kitchen. Great for Jr. to have his own room and when we have company.

I was puzzled as to why I had no heat coming out of the vent in there. AC is roof ducted and like most trailers, there are separate low vents throughout the trailer for heat. Or so I thought.

The vent in the bunk room? LOL, it turns out it's nothing more than a vent for the outside fridge! I'm pretty pissed. A $38K MSRP trailer and you can only heat half of it? I took it for warranty service assuming it was just never hooked up correctly. I mean after all, it has heated tanks, why wouldn't you heat the people inside too? Nah. By design the vent in the bunk room that swivels and is the same color and shape as the furnace vents in the rest of the trailer is just there for show really.

So I have to use an electric space heater when it's cold out. Not the end of the world, but I feel ripped off by Coachmen. My next TT will be a huge 5th wheel and I know it won't be a Coachmen nor Forest River if I can help it.

Just wanted to vent (no pun intended) and let people know about the lack of heat in case they buy this model. Anyone else have a bunk room with no heat by design?

I still use a space heater in there.

Hold the phone major!
It can be fixed and is indeed a vent.
There are two brown vents in mine for the fridge and a third one that was/for heat. It was not connected.
My dealer told me that they had about 8 feet of extra ducting wedged in there but nothing was connected. They told me that they did not like what they saw so cut out all the extra duct and hooked it up and now the bunk house warms just as good as the rest of the unit.
Get after your dealer to fix it.

Our work & Play 25 ULA has three vents... only heat come out of two... has been back to the dealer many times and they can not fix. Nust be a smashed duct goint under the shower...bad design.

If we ever make it back to the factory fix it.

Two things I fully understand you being upset, BUT did you take it back to the dealer? (you did not say) and or did you contact the factory? (you did not say) either of these choices are the choices you should be taking, I fully understand you are upset, but it is not the first nor the last time a heating duct was not hooked up or crushed during install.
So before you blame a whole company have it looked at, my cousins 300,000 MH had a number of ducts hooked up from the factory, so it is not unusual for this to happen.
Hope this helps calm down and Happy Camping

there is a duct back there. Its not the best but you need to get it checked if you have nothing back there.
