First was the hitch weight of the Apex the overall weight was were I needed for Ram 1500. We really wanted a separate bunkhouse area for our kids. Then last but not least the outside kitchen with the mini fridge. We found all this in the Apex and it is one of the lightest TT out there with these amenities.

There is actually one dealer close to me who will give you a test tow but they didn't say if it was before or after you put a $500 deposit down on the TT. I thought I was gonna need the air bags but as of now They got me sitting pretty level. I'll just have to keep a watch on it once I load her up with some gear. The Apex Ultralite line by Coachman is suited well for our 1500's. Go check out the website.

You are well within the capabilities of the Ram. Add the airbags for much improved lateral stability. The AirLift 1000 system (less than $100) only moves the truck up or down less than two inches so they aren't that good at leveling but really improve driveability. Next...get ride of those passenger tires that are stock on the Ram. That will also help a lot.

Enjoy your new Apex! Your reasons for choosing the Apex is one of the main reasons we chose our Apex 269RBKS. Dual slides, kitchen island, walk-in pantry, outside mini kitchen and all at about 5800 lbs. We are planning on taking our unit out for the first time this Sunday.

Have Fun!!

Congrats on your new TT.

Like your selection. My wife and I picked the Apex 259 BHSS for our needs about 9 months ago. Like you, we love it !!!!

Enjoy your new "lodge" and make many memories.

We go to Md Yogi all the time. The past couple yrs have become more crowded & pricy. It's hard to get a reservation anymore.

You may want to check out Raystown lake in PA south of State College, East of Altoona.
