Parts Orders

Has anyone or any ones local dealer had trouble getting warranty parts from Forest River? Seems like waiting a month or more for my local dealer to get a couple warranty parts is a bit excessive.

Maybe they should order them from Amazon.

Thanks,

jim

Took 3 and half weeks to get mine. Sometimes not the factory but the dealership that is dragging their feet.

Took 4 weeks, however after two calls to FR to track down for myself, found out the dealer didn't even order them. Found another dealer and they got them within a week.

I've not had to order any warranty parts. I did order a cabinet door direct from Coachmen factory. The parts guy I talked to said that he couldn't be sure when my part would ship since they come off the production line.
They have a pretty interesting process...

parts

Thanks to those who responded. Parts will arrive Thursday after five week delay. Is it Forest River or the dealer? One will blame it on the other and I will never know, and at this point don't care. I can finally use my rv that I purchased over a month ago. After installation of parts it will be six weeks.

Good Grief.

Thanks again for listening.

I've heard...according to my Dealer...the parts division for FR is little to be desired compared to the rest of their business, your frustration sounds in order when ordering parts.

I work in the marine industry and we sell southbay pontoons which is a forest river product. We have had all kinds of problems getting warranty parts. Most times they come in and are the wrong part. We found out that unlike other manufactures, they don't keep track of the boats that go out off the line using the serial numbers. So when you call to get a part for that boat, instead of giving the serial number and them looking and saying oh yea that boat has such and such options and color, you have to send pics and descriptions of parts needed. Pain in the ace. Not sure if the tt side of it is the same.

My dealer ordered a compartment door with the vin and the factory sent the wrong size door, Instead of me having to come back a 3rd time, they removed from a new unit on the lot and put on my trailer.
