Picking up our F/E 320 BHDSLE

Hi everyone,
I'm excited to report we are picking up our new 2016 320 BHDS this weekend. We have done our PDI and the dealer has fixed the few problems we had during our inspection. We will go over the coach one more time before we leave the lot, but I was wondering if there is anything else I should really focus on before we leave the lot?

Thanks
Bob

30 or 50 amp service? I would recommend adding the second air cond unit in the front bedroom if you didn't order it with it.

Congrats we have the same camper picked it up 3 weeks ago and used it Easter weekend. If you did a thorough pdi just check everything they did and give it a once over. I found one minor thing this weekend it's nothing to bother with brining it back. Enjoy. Click image for larger version

We have similar unit but model smaller...310bhds. We had problem with speaker wires being mismatched. Speakers came on one bedroom and one living room and vice verse. Also had problem with bracket under flip up bunk, was not anchored properly and came out at first use. Final problem was a water leak where awning attaches. Not a major problem as it is outside but it did come down side where we had small table. Turned out to be the splice point of rain gutter.

Check your edging/trim in the bathroom, much of ours is falling off as they fired the nails too far through them so they were barely holding on.

Also the patterned piece that is over the windows, these are stapled from the backside of the box into the patterned piece. In this case they didn't staple well enough and had these falling off as well. Just finished fixing one of these, pulling out all the old crappy staples was not a fun task. Here's some pictures: decorative window trim fell off - Album on Imgur

Pull on like everything lightly to see what might be barely holding on as once you're bouncing down the road it will come off.

Also have them fill up your grey/black tanks with water and flush them out - had a large chunk of plastic cut-off from one of the tanks come out the 2nd or 3rd time we dumped and get stuck in the hose.

We noticed quite a few trip pieces needing repair and marked them with blue tape during our PDI. Well we went to get our new trailer yesterday and found 2 trim items that were not addressed and still had the blue tape on them to be fixed. I was a little more than frustrated when I drove an hour to get our TT and I couldn't bring it home. We also had some issues with the two main slides on the drivers side. The carpet was melted from too much pressure form the factory. We pointed it out during our PDI and they replaced the carpet however the didn't adjust the slide pressure correctly at the dealer and the newly replaced carpet is already getting ruined .
So needless to say, they still have our rig and will hopefully get it back in a week or so that way we can get it back and get it packed up.

Been a little frustrating to say the least but hopefully they can finally get it all fixed up for us.

Bob

Congrats. We picked up our 2015 320BHDSLE in December and are loving it. A few minor issues but nothing major.

Finally got to bring her home tonight. The maiden voyage was smooth and the Blue Ox Sway Pro worked very well. I need to get to the scales but the air suspension worked effortlessly and we are very pleased so far with everything.

Nice unit. Did they get everything fixed? We made the mistake of picking it up not 100% to our liking. We still haven't signed off on the PDI yet from 2014, just had the last thing fixed last week. 4 tries to order the correct light fixtures.

Yep. They got it 100% and we are completely satisfied now. Got her home and parked in storage and now we just need to get her set up for camping. Can't wait!

Congrats! Definitely a sweet trailer! We picked one up last spring and had a blast all summer. Can't wait for the first trip this year.

Question?

For those of you that have a 2016 through 320 BHDS Liberty Edition, what type of rock guard do you have on the front nose of your trailer? All I have are two stickers in the bottom corner of each side and in past years it was like a sprayed on thick/clear protective layer.

I have a bed liner material. I think mine was on the line in 2015 but came off in 2016.

So does yours look totally different than mine? Does yours still have the stickers or just a plain white front?

What did they do?! The front cap is white now? IMO that looks terrible.

Attached a picture of the front of ours, you can't see it very well but starting at about the second from the bottom of the five lights the darker area has a textured finish on it, sort of like bedliner bumpiness.

We picked our 2017 320BHDSLE up at the beginning of the month. We were actually surprised it was a 2017 model (built in January, but confirmed "H" as 8th digit on the VIN). We took it camping a couple of weekends ago and found the shower to be leaking onto the floor with every shower. I think it is just the seal around the door frame, because it looks like that's where the water was pooling and overflowing. I'll get it back to the dealer soon to take care of that and a bedroom door misalignment, which causes the latch not to engage. Besides these minor issues, it's a great camper!

Ours has the textured rock guard on the bottom of the front cap.
