Thankfully robertlanajean no leaks! Only had mine a few months though.

My only leak was self-inflicted when I overflowed my black tank during a 'final' rinse. Thought I'd fill it all the way up to get it good and clean. Filled it up alright!!!

Ouch. That's probably why the missus won't let me fill it to the rim

Hey UmptySquat,
I just crawled under my '13 and saw that the fresh water tank is only 29.5 gallons. Next time you're under your' 15 would you see if there is a volume stamped on the side and get me a part number? I think I heard yours are 50 gallon and would love to see if it would upgrade.

Thanks

Might be a little hard to see the tank, like mine it prolly has the under cover. I thought mine had 33hal tanks for everything but maybe it was 50 for fresh water.

I have never dropped the undercoat panel. Looks like A LOT of work. I'll check my paperwork though and see what it says.

Interesting. The '13 only has a panel on the first half of the TT. The back half (tanks) are all exposed. No worries if you can't get to it. Was hoping for an easy mod

I just received my Apex 288BHS back from a warranty repair. The rear upper bunk window was never set in properly and water poured down the inside wall when it rained. I crawled up there and noticed one side of the window stuck out about 1/4. Got nowhere from my purchasing dealer (I've since read they were bought out, so probably why I got bad service). Called Coachmen and they gave me a list of other dealers close by. Ended up at a place about an hour away.
All sealed up now. Thankfully, it's been stored under roof since I purchased it.
I also had them replace the front LED lights, since 3/4 of them were no longer working.
We have one more trip planned this fall before winterizing... Headed to Twin Grove Campground just north of Hershey, PA later this month for Hershey Halloween.

Glad they got that window straightened out!
We have one more trip too in a couple of weeks then my first winterization attempt. I need to get some antifreeze and a hand pump.

I watched a YouTube video and did it myself for the first time last year. I used an air compressor to blow the lines then used the Apex's pump to put in anti-freeze. Very simple process, actually. I didn't need to use a hand pump.

Planning winterization at the end of the month.
Ordered an Adco Designer cover.
Hand pumping through city water connection is pretty simple.
My question is the fresh water tank, pump and accompanying lines. I don't use the tank but I know it was used to demonstrate during the PDI. I've since emptied the tank but nothing else.
Should I just put antifreeze in the fresh tank and flip the pump on? Not sure how output of pump ties into city water lines...

I'm certainly no expert... But I don't think you need to mess with your fresh water tank at all. I drained it last year and left it alone.
The pump is under the dinette bench next to the fridge.
Using this winterization kit ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006JJ588..._luffwbE9TRY6E ) you can attach one end of this tube to your pumps inlet and the other end into a gallon of anti-freeze. From there you can just turn on your pump and winterize all the lines. This kit worked perfectly for me. It takes about 2-3 gallons of anti-freeze to do all the lines.
I would think you'd need quite a bit of anti-freeze in your fresh tank for the pump to draw it.
Edit: Here's a YouTube video that shows almost exactly how the above method goes. The only difference for me is that because I blow my lines with air first, I don't need to put anti-freeze in the city water inlet. http://youtu.be/Q5Hvn9NpJa8

I do not really understand electrical in this camper... But I wanted to disconnect the battery then take the camper to storage for winter. But apparently the electric tongue jack has to be connected to the battery to work. Is there any other way I can get the jack to work without the battery? My previous camper the jack would work if the camper was connected to the truck or plugged into an outlet (when the battery was not connected). Just curious if anyone has tried the jack without the battery?

Thanks!

The jack is direct wired to the battery. No way for it to work except for popping off the rubber gasket on top and using the spinner wrench to manually do it. Do it once and you'll know why it's electric.

Anybody put valves on the low point drains? Curious what size the tubing is... Thinking of putting a quick drain valve on them and the fresh water tank.

My tongue jack works without battery if plugged into the truck.

Anybody know if the refrigerator will run on gas with the battery dead? Camper not hooked to anything else. I figured there was a powered monitoring circuit or something but I don't know...

It won't have any juice to light the burner. You'll hear the fridge clicking and trying to light but alas it will not light.

Thanks for the quick answers guys!

I'm thinking I have enough juice to get it lit. Battery is low but on. My worry is that I'm heading out tomorrow. I wanted to light the fridge at the storage unit this evening so it'd be cold when I picked it up in the AM. My feeling is the battery would likely drain and crap out overnight...

I always light mine the day before I head out. Sometimes the battery will drop down one level... Sometimes none.
Last trip of the season for us. Twin Grove Campground in Pine Grove, PA. Nice little campground.
