Pump location????

Anyone know where fresh water pump is located on a Viking 21RD? Pump runs without discharge. I am knowledgeable in plumbing and pipefitting/troubleshooting but I can't find the pump and a call back to the dealer was no help.

It sounds as if it is somewhere the driver's side wardrobe but I see no access. Can anyone help with definitive location?

Thanks.

It's probably behind the back wall in the passthru. Look and see if that panel is screwed in.

Bama Rambler,

You were dead on with that. Got to a campground tonight and looked close with a light. Two screws holding an L-shaped wall around the pump. Piping in there (PEX and Tygon looking material are in a nest just like the wiring.

Found a 2-way plug valve with the run going from the bottom of FW tank to the pump inlet. The branch has a short hose with an open male adapter. Wonder if that is for winterizing? Tried to see if I could change the valve and have it draw suction from a cup of water but. I good.

Working in that small space is fun-not. Glad I M on the way home where I can check things better.

Thanks again Bama. [emoji122]

If this is a new trailer, make the dealer fix it.

You're welcome. I'm glad it was easy to find.

You're also right about the short open hose. It's a suction hose for use in pumping antifreeze through the system when winterizing.

You're right, just as my DW has been telling me. If not on the flip side of this trip I would tear into it. I suspect that as soon as the warranty is over I will do some mods. I especially would want to improve the access for strainer servicing and to the winterizing connection.
