Refrigerator Problem

Leaving on vaca in the morning. Brought the camper home from the storage facility tonight to get it loaded and ready to go and fridge doesn't seem to be cooling down. The freezer is getting cold, but the fridge portion doesn't seem to be doing anything. Light comes on, so has power. Any suggestions??

Patience, it takes a while for the frig to cool. Pack already cool items in it will help.

In my experience, the freezer cools down first and the refrigerator follows. If the freezer is cooling down I'd just give it some more time.

X2 what OC says - it actually takes the better part of a day for your refer to get good N chilly (we always turn ours on the day before we leave).

You will also probably get better cooling performance if you force the refer on propane (assuming you have a dual system)

Finally get one of these: Amazon.com: Valterra A10-2606 FridgeCool 11.28 mA Fan with On/Off Switch: Automotive

Also helps if you have fans on the outside cooling your ammonia generator.

Mine gets cold in the freezer first, then the fridge, too. But it takes a LOT longer to cool on gas than on electric. The fridge can be at 40F in a couple hours on electric.
