Screw cap on front cap

Screw cap on the front cap of Apex 245BHS with Summit package came out while traveling through heat of the Nevada. The material had softened from the heat and came out and stretched in the wind. Has anyone else had this problem? What size fits on the front of an 2020 Apex 245BHS? We saw a new Jayco With paper plates with the same problem.

I had exactly the same issue with my 245BHS. It happened as soon as I drove it off the lot where I bought it. Mine didnít stretch out too much though. It shrunk back soon after I parked it in the shade. I pinched Click image for larger version

I simply ran a bead of silicone along the front edge of the trim. Havenít had the issue ever since. I hope this helped.Click image for larger version

I had a similar issue on my Class C. When they build these things they stretch that vinyl screw cover and it doesn't take long to shrink a bit and pull out. It's common material you van buy. I'd replace it and be very careful not to stretch it when putting it in. You can just pinch it back into the track rather than trying to pull it. If you try to pull it back in the track it will happen again. Make your replacement piece a little long than the one you have now and trim it before putting the screw back in.
