Slide Awning Advice

Good morning fellow campers! My wife and I are new to this forum as well as new to camping in fact we haven't even started camping yet as we are picking up our Apex Nano 193bhs this Saturday. While it's still at the shop we are wondering if we need to get a slide awning installed. Any advice out there. We are not planning on living in the camper just weekend and week long excursions. Thanks for all of your help.

Do you need to no. Depends some on where and how much you camp.

Some love the slide covers some not so much. You will get all kinds of opinions. But no it is not a need. As the DW would say it is might be a want.

For us we have never had one in 35 years of camping, but where we go there are not too many trees.

Thanks for the advice I just figured if we were going to do it the best people to put it on would be the people at the shop and I might as well get it done while it's being financed.

I have slide toppers and will always have them. We stay in places that have plenty of trees with leaves and things falling on the roof all the time. With out the slide toppers, we would need to get up on ladders and clean off the slide tops prior to closing up. This is too much like work for me. I would say they are a definite wanted item.
