More info please. We are in our 70's and pull over for a stretch, lunch, or whatever. Can we just open the slide 10" or so, to access the fridge and bathroom, without having to open the slide fully, before closing. We have been spending summers on the East Coast, and when pulling over, into a rest place, the slide would have be extended into traffic area.
I've heard that you're not supposed to routinely open a Schwintek drive slide room partway as it could lead to the drive motors becoming unsynchronized...a call to LCI customer service could find out for sure. Regardless I wouldn't suggest that you use the dinette unless it's fully extended as it will cause damage...it's only properly supported when fully extended.
