Slide Out Mechanism

Does anyone know if a 2023 Freedom Express 192RBS uses a rack and pinion system for the slide out?

Moved thread from the General Community Discussion section to the Coachmen sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to a Coachmen trailer and not general questions.

It appears that it does... I don't see any Schwintek "stuff" on the slide out. Here is the Contact info for Freedom Express. Give them a call to confirm it. I found Coachmen to be very responsive when we were considering purchasing our new trailer.

EDIT: See This Post for a recent discussion about the 192RBS slide out.

Just heard back from Coachman …they say it has a Happijac bed slide..I think that is just a brand name and not a design but I may be wrong.. From what I can see from their website it appears to be a general rack/pinion design. Anyone familiar with this?

Yes, it looks like what we have in our 1943RB. In my opinion it is a much better system the the Schwintek we've had in other RVs.

I suggest you go back out to the Happijac website and download the User Manual if you haven't already. That is not a manual that Coachmen provides to users.
