Slide Support - Apex

We have a slide on our recently purchased Apex 258RKS. Far from a super slide, the lateral travel in approximately 3'. Should we utilize a slide stabilizer(s) when the slide is extended? Is there any need to support the slide externally?

Almost always with modern slides, the answer is no slide supports. Not only are they recommended, but they can actually damage the slide/slide to camper connection.

there a couple of threads already asking this question.
bottom line, slide supports are an old holdover from the early days of slideouts, when the technology was new. modern slideouts don't need them and usually somewhere in the manual or the trailer, it's recommended NOT to use supports.

We've had 4 campers. all with between 1 to 4 slides, and have never used them. Never had a problem.

Nothing wrong with asking. If nobody asked, then nobody would answer, then we wouldn't have a forum .
