Slideout type?

I am a newbie and just bought a 2019 Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS. It has one slideout for the couch. I have seen pics of different types of slideouts, but haven't been able to figure out what type it is and where the controller is located. Thanks for any help.

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section's Slideouts sub-forum to the Coachmen sub-forum since the OP is asking for model-specific information and not a general question.
OP, the questions you are asking are specific to your particular Coachmen model.
When asking for model-specific information, it's best to post in your brand's sub-forum.
Looking at a video of your trailer, the slideout is definitely not a Schwintek system.

If it's like ours, the control is on the main control panel just inside the door. One of the lower switches.

Clarify

Are you asking where the buttons to make the slide go in-out are located ( how to operate) or are you asking if there is a control box that runs the slide hidden away(abd where it is?)

Not all slide mechanisms have a control box. You need to know what type of slide you have; rack & Pinion ( look for gears and teeth under the slide), swintech (sp?), or something else.

I already eliminated it being a Schwintek slide system, in my previous post.

I guess that post didn't make the transition to this thread when it was moved. My Apex has rack & Pinion and there is no controller for my single slide. You just push the button to make it go in/out.

I found this video that explained a lot about that style of slide. Unfortunately I have a covered underbelly so I can't see the motors without some work.

https://youtu.be/d39kcNvRROk

It shows one way to get the slide in/out if the motor has issues and the manual crank doesn't work.

These are exactly the questions I am asking. I did not see the post that eliminated it from being a Swintech.

Since that is cleared up. Our Freedom Express is a rack and pinion. As mentioned earlier, the only control for it is on the main switch panel that is right inside the main entry-door. This is the same panel where the tank level and basic battery level indicators are. I understand our unit is three years newer so things may have changed.

slideout

Thanks to those that replied. So in conclusion, it is a rack and pinion type slideout, and the only controller is the simple in/out button.
The underbelly is sealed so can't see anything but a single metal piece (must be the rack) under the middle. Just wanted to know in case I have future problems. Thanks again.

I think its a Lippert...my 246rks (may) have the same slide. There are a few other components. Namely a small white box that uses an rj45 wire connector like a phone jack. FR master component list link.

Most every item FR utilizes in their builds.
