Thank you everyone. We found a motion sensor style of light that is battery operated at a local hardware store. The light works very well for our use.
We 'taped' it just above the control panel which is right by the door with those 3m removable tape.

A big complaint from folks is the lights inside switches. My last TT had them and I disconnected every one. If you have any in your RV just swap it with one of the switches in the panel. Alternatively you could purchase a lighted switch to substitute for one already installed. If you got a double throw switch with center off you could wire it to come on when you wanted it on.
