Spirit XTR 2146BHX Owners

Just put a deposit down on this unit and picking up in a week. Upgrading from a smaller Cruise Lite 195bh. Curious if any owners of this model, or the previous 2145BHX, have advice or suggestions for anything on this model?

Coachmen 2146BHX

Glad to see another 2146 owner. We purchased ours in Mid-May. We replaced a Palomino RL 189 that was a little too small for our needs. The 2146 is a much better trailer. I'm really impressed with the construction.

Have you learned anything about the solar panel on the roof? I don't think it has a controller, unless it's connected to the panel on the roof.

We love ours so far, currently on our second trip with it. A definite upgrade over our previous Salem Cruise Lite. I did ask the dealer about how we work the solar panel, he said there’s nothing really to do because it’s just wired to charge the battery automatically. It’s my first solar panel so I’m not really sure other than that.

Our Solar Panel Controller is located in the front pass-thru on the passenger side, back wall when you open the door.

Yes that’s where mine is. Looks like this. Is there anything we do to use this? Or does it just always charge my battery?

You shouldn't have to do anything. There is a manual with the documentation or I downloaded it from their website, I can't remember.

I recently picked up camper from dealer where it had been sitting out in full sun a couple of weeks with no shore power. The battery didn’t even have enough juice to raise the jack. Shouldn’t my solar system have kept the battery charged?

Not if the battery disconnect switch was off.
