Storage over Fridge

I have always wanted DH to investigate what was above our fridge...we had seen several where there were shelves or cabinets directly above. He took out the panel and there was a slated board behind it. He straightened it out, leaving a nice storage space. The sign was given to us by a neighbor and co workamper. The green boards that lift up and form the cover over the area was boards we salvaged from a greenhouse my Mom had that was destroyed by a tornado a few years ago. It makes me feel like Mom and Dad are a part of or new RV home... this touched me so much and I just love it. First picture is the before, second is the after.

I had not given any thought as to the space above the fridge. But now I am thinking. Nope, now I am walking out to the TT to investigate this. Thanks for posting

No chocolate up there...just the vacuum sealer, extra bags, paper towels and some bottles of gatorade. There is a thread on this forum somewhere that shows where a guy put in a spectacular wine rack there. Not sure how hot it will get up there...guess we'll find out this summer!

On our area above the fridge Iput more insulation. Our fridge, like yours is in a slide. The temps wern't what i thought they should be in the fridge. After adding the extra insulation they dropped about 10-15 degrees.I also added a slanted board to direct the air out of the vent better. I do like your idea though.Just can't do it with ours.
