Another vote for the Husky. I'm not to happy with the LCI jack that I have now. I want to add a ladder to my TT too.

Before adding a ladder, make sure the wall can support it and also that you can walk on the roof once you get up the ladder. Remember the tongue jack only has to lift the tongue weight.

X2 on the Husky. Smooth ball bearing drive and electronic limit switches so you don’t have to worry about jamming the support bar.

Even though the real TT tongue weight may be less than 1,000 pounds, when you are lifting the rear of the truck to install WD bars the 4,500 pound capacity Husky really shines. 3,500 or less jacks struggle during hookup.

I just replaced my factory LIPPERT. With a lippert smart jack. Advantage, recall set height and fully retract to haul mode. That’s cool too me. You do not have to hold button to retract. I also did a post about rotating head, that provides more clearance for tailgate. Price is comparable with others. At just over $200.00 Click image for larger version

I doubt that you can add a ladder like they put on at the factory. Here are some options for a portable ladder.

Werner 17' folding telescopic ladder

Costco 12' telescopic ladder

GP Logistics SLDD6 6' Compact Folding Ladder.

If the factory didn't install backers, you can't mount one.

Whatever you get for a power tongue jack, make sure there is enough clearance for you to open your tailgate all the way. My factory tongue jack doesn't and it's a nuisance.

You may be able to turn it 90 deg. to get enough clearance.
